editorial design / the amazing anna

Created as a personal project, "The Amazing Anna" tells the story of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour's impact on the magazine and fashion industries. In my opening spread design, I wanted to include as little detail as possible while still allowing readers to recognize the illustration as Anna. I loved having the freedom to experiment with "less is more." In profiles, I prefer to let the personalities of my subjects inform my designs, so I made sure to use a bold font and a pattern from one of her dresses.
